The Power Moves Initiative helps households in Mecklenburg County lower their energy bills and make their homes safer and more comfortable. We do this by helping residents learn about programs that offer free or low-cost home improvements, like weatherization, energy upgrades, and critical repairs.

Our team works with you step by step from your first conversation to the final home improvements. We help check eligibility, gather paperwork, schedule home visits, complete applications, and connect you to trusted programs and contractors. When possible, we also help combine different programs so you can receive more help at no cost.

Participants will attend a series of trainings to learn how they can save money and upgrade their homes.
